Phil Caine is a fully-qualified sound engineer, music producer remix artist and DJ.
Equipped with his own recording studio in the heart of the Cumbrian Lake District Phil’s experience within the music industry has covered all aspects of engineering, producing, remixing & mastering most genres of electronic & instrumental music.

A DJ from the age of 12 it was obvious that Phil would end up working in the music industry. After having a long standing interest in music production, Phil began his formal training age 19 at Manchester MIDI School, where he gained two diplomas in dance music production & sound engineering. This was followed up by a degree at the infamous School of Sound Recording, also in Manchester. Throughout his training Phil dedicated his free time to working on his own electronic music productions and by the age of 22 he was releasing music on various record labels.

Not sticking to any specific style, Phil decided to create two aliases to reflect the very different sides of his musical personality. Concentrating on experimental underground house & Techno, ‘Mindform’ has gained great respect within the darker, yet deeper, side of the dance music scene. With DJ support from artists such as Darren Emerson, Laurent Garnier, Jon Rundell & Joseph Capriati plus a discography of over 50 releases in the last two years it’s clear to see that ‘Mindform’ is here to stay. At the other end of the musical spectrum is PJC Project.

PJC Project is big room club music - tough, energetic uplifting and edgy. It is rapidly becoming known world-wide through features on global mixes such as Carl Cox Live @ Dance Valley 2008, Carl Cox Live @ Space Join Our Revolution 2009, and CR2 Records Present Space The Annual 2009 by MYNC Project. With DJ support from the world’s number one DJ Carl Cox plus massive names such as Rodger Sanchez, Marco V, Marcus Schulz and Judge Jules, PJC Project is fast becoming a force to reckon with.

In 2009 PJC Project collaborated with Mixmag Future Hero Petrae Foy, This resulted in the remix of one of Underworld's biggest tracks of the 90s "Dark & Long ". The remix was renamed “Long Train”. It gained an immediate response from the industry heavy weights, and was quickly snapped up by the major label, CR2 Records. The duo has recently remixed for Tom Neville on Love Minus Zero, and is becoming a regular feature of Teggno Records.

Another of Phil’s successful projects involves collaboration with Mad Hatter Recordings’ owner, Carl Anians. Known in the industry as ‘Caine n Anians’, they were recently quoted by Paul Van Dyke, live on air, as being “the future of British techno”. You can clearly hear why. Consistently banging out heavy-weight techno stompers, alongside minimal tech house beats, they are an up-and-coming duo to keep an eye on. As well as regular releases on Mad Hatter Recordings, you can also find their music featured on many labels around the world.

As an Engineer Phil takes pride in producing, engineering and mastering all of his own work. He is currently a mastering engineer for various record labels, and also produces and remixes for around 30 other labels. Under different aliases he has almost 100 current releases, and is working on many other projects.
As ‘Mindform’ Phil has recently finished his solo album and is planning a major release for it in the near future. As ‘PJC Project’ he is currently working on various remixes as well as more original productions and Caine n Anians continue to push forward the boundaries of techno with every release they have.
